Stephanie Sy is Managing Director for Applied AI & Data at Temus, where she leads the firm's mission to support clients through AI transformation across people, process, technology, and data — combining deep AI expertise with full-stack cloud transformation to take clients from AI strategy and adoption through to production-grade delivery. 

She is also the founder of Thinking Machines, which she established in 2015 to accelerate the adoption of data science in Southeast Asia. Under her leadership, the firm has built bespoke AI-powered solutions for major clients across financial services, consumer retail, conglomerates, and the civic sector, spanning machine learning, generative AI, and data platforms. Temus made a strategic investment in Thinking Machines in 2026.  

She is a Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 honouree, an Asia 21 Young Leader, and a member of the Philippine Department of Science and Technology's PCIEERD AI Advisory Board. She holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. Earlier in her career she was an early employee and founder at several startups, and she remains an active champion of tech entrepreneurship across the region
